2010 Lake Chelan Fine Art Festival
August 20th-22nd: What a great weekend for a Fine Art Festival in Lake Chelan, and my first at that :) What a blast; the people, the food, the music, the art, all around a pretty great weekend. I haven't quite decided if I am going to dive head first into the traveling "booth" thing. However, I still find it quite amazing that people do this for a living, I mean really, how enjoyable to do what you are completely passionate about, I wouldn't complain :)
And a huge thank you to all of you who stopped by this weekend, supported me, helped out, or just said hi :) I appreciated everything and couldn't have done it without ALL of you!

crystalviewgraphics.com... check!
How did it happen, that it's February already... geesh. What's the saying, "time flies when you're having fun". Crazy. So I just got my website crystalviewgraphics.com pretty much updated and completed, which seems like I should say, FINALLY! So, what now? Well, on to the business at hand. I know I should just refer to that oh-so-handy Goal List I made... instead, I am going to search for an awesome Paul Rand quote...
"The designer does not, as a rule, begin with a preconceived idea. His idea is the result of subjective and objective thought, and the design a product of the idea. In order, therefore, to achieve an honest and effective solution he necessarily passes thought some sort of mental process ... Consciously or not, he analyzes, interprets, translates ... He improvises, invents new techniques and combinations. He coordinates and integrates his material so that he may restate his problem in terms of ideas, pictures, forms, and shapes. He unifies, simplifies, eliminates superfluities. He symbolizes ... abstract from his material by association and analogy. He intensifies and reinforces his symbol with appropriate accessories to achieve clarity and interest. He draws upon instinct and intuition. He considers the spectator, his feelings and predilections."

Bring on the New Year
Here it is 2010. and I would like to say I am completely ready for it. Of course, like most I'm probably not as organized as I'd like to be... with my New Years resolutions all written out, and my goals in a perfectly logical order. Either way, I'm completely excited for a new year. It's time to get in gear and rev my "business engine"!
